Hello, Tea. I came here to thank you for the heartfelt comment and find this! Now I feel like we have met and will be coming back to check on you. So, there is something good about politics, a chance to make real connections. I have to keep reminding myself about that. Best!

I agree with you-- we get wrapped up in destinations and what is happening at the moment and it's the little things along the way that shape our lives.

I've looked around your blog a bit today, and I wanted to comment that you have mentioned two or three times that you want to vote for the person who will do right by our constitution, support it and try to repair the damage done to it. I found that comment to be refreshing, as it is not one that I've heard much in the news, the blogs, or the TV. And it is a view that is extremely important, whether one leans right (you) or left (me). :) Thanks for saying it. Keep saying it. People need to hear it.

Regarding the comment you left on my blog, I lived in Fairbanks for 5 years as a child, so I well remember the fruit deprivation. I remember when we moved to California, being shocked that fruit could taste so good. :)

If you email me your address, if you want, I'll mail you a couple of figs. They're an acquired taste, I think, so it would be a shame to spend a lot of money on them and then not like them. Our neighbor has a tree, so it wouldn't cost me anything but postage, and I don't mind that. I'm not sure how well they ship, but we can try, right?
